We’re here for just 18 months with a mission – to make an online resource including every name on every memorial in the Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

And we want to find the stories behind as many of those names as possible.

With funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, we have an army of fabulous local volunteer researchers working tirelessly to get us to our target. You can find the latest results at our website, here: http://www.fkac.info.

Not only that – we have a wide programme of events running, from a Christmas Truce centenary football match with local young footballers in WWI dress, to roadshows which collect details of the WWI artefacts and stories that are still out there in the community.

And the stories we uncover are being enacted in a compelling drama – free to anyone who wants to come along subject to availability -acted by members of the local community, at Ascot Racecourse on July 3 2015.
